Terms of Use – Electrician Apprentice Hours

Electrician Apprentice Hours · Developed by VoltageLab
Effective date: July 14, 2026 · Last updated: July 14, 2026

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Electrician Apprentice Hours mobile application (“the App”), developed by VoltageLab (“we,” “us,” “our”). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. What the App Is — and Is Not

The App is a personal record-keeping and document-generation tool. It helps you organize self-reported on-the-job training (OJT) hours and generate summary documents, and it provides electrical calculators for reference.

The App is not an authority of any kind. It does not verify, authenticate, certify, or officially validate training hours. It does not replace, and is not affiliated with, any state licensing board, apprenticeship program, union, employer, or government agency. Acceptance of any document generated by the App is at the sole discretion of the receiving organization. You are responsible for verifying your state’s or program’s specific requirements before relying on or submitting any record.

2. License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use, in accordance with these Terms and Apple’s App Store Terms of Service and Usage Rules.

You may not: (a) copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, or sublicense the App; (b) reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App, except to the extent permitted by applicable law; or (c) use the App in any unlawful manner or for any unlawful purpose.

3. Your Content and Responsibility for Accuracy

All information you enter into the App — including hour entries, employer and supervisor details, and profile information — is created and owned by you and stored locally on your device. You are solely responsible for:

  • The accuracy, truthfulness, and completeness of the information you enter;
  • Ensuring that hours you record honestly reflect work actually performed;
  • Obtaining any required verification or signatures from your supervisors;
  • Backing up your data (see Section 6);
  • Complying with your state’s or program’s rules when submitting records.

Entering false information into training records you submit to a licensing authority may violate the law. The App is a tool for organizing honest records only.

4. Electrical Calculators — Reference Only

All calculator results are for reference and educational purposes only. The App’s calculators produce estimates based on general formulas and published reference values. They do not account for all field conditions, local code amendments, jurisdiction-specific requirements, or site-specific factors.

Calculator results are not professional engineering advice and must not be used as the sole basis for any electrical installation, design, or safety decision. Always verify results against the applicable code as adopted in your jurisdiction, local amendments, manufacturer specifications, and actual field conditions, and work under the supervision of a licensed professional as required. Electrical work is dangerous; improper work can cause property damage, injury, or death. You assume all risk arising from your use of calculator results.

5. No Professional Advice

Nothing in the App constitutes legal, licensing, career, engineering, or professional advice. Requirements for electrician licensure vary by state and program and change over time. Consult your licensing board, apprenticeship program, or a qualified professional for guidance specific to your situation.

6. Data and Backups

Your data is stored locally on your device only. We do not maintain copies and cannot recover data that is lost, deleted, or removed when the App is uninstalled or your device is lost, damaged, or reset. You are responsible for backing up your device and any exported files. See our Privacy Policy for details on how your information is handled.

7. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, graphics, and content (excluding the information you enter), is owned by VoltageLab and protected by intellectual property laws. “NEC” and “National Electrical Code” are registered trademarks of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). VoltageLab is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the NFPA. References to code articles are descriptive references to publicly known standards.

8. Free App; Changes to the App

The App is currently provided free of charge. We may update, modify, add, or remove features at any time, and may introduce optional paid features in future versions. We may discontinue the App at any time; because your data is stored locally, discontinuation of the App does not delete data already on your device.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR THAT CALCULATION RESULTS OR GENERATED DOCUMENTS WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR ACCEPTED BY ANY THIRD PARTY.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VOLTAGELAB SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF LICENSURE OR CREDENTIALING OPPORTUNITY, LOSS OF INCOME, PROPERTY DAMAGE, PERSONAL INJURY, OR DEATH, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP, INCLUDING RELIANCE ON CALCULATOR RESULTS OR GENERATED DOCUMENTS. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED FIFTY U.S. DOLLARS (US$50) OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations of liability, so some of the above may not apply to you.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless VoltageLab from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the App, or false or inaccurate information you enter into or submit from the App.

12. Apple-Specific Terms

These Terms are between you and VoltageLab only, not with Apple Inc. (“Apple”). Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. In addition:

  • Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support services for the App.
  • In the event of any failure of the App to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price (if any) to you; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the App.
  • Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to the App, including product liability claims, claims that the App fails to conform to legal or regulatory requirements, and claims under consumer protection or similar legislation.
  • In the event of a third-party claim that the App infringes intellectual property rights, VoltageLab, not Apple, is responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of such claim.
  • You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  • Apple and Apple’s subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, upon your acceptance, have the right to enforce these Terms against you.
  • You must also comply with any applicable third-party terms of agreement when using the App.

13. Termination

These Terms are effective until terminated. Your rights under these Terms terminate automatically if you fail to comply with them. Upon termination, you must stop using the App and delete it from your devices. Sections 3–5, 7, and 9–12 survive termination.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which VoltageLab is established, without regard to conflict of law principles, except where the mandatory consumer protection laws of your place of residence provide otherwise.
